A small fortified Islet of Loch Fergus Covered with woods, it is of an elliptical form in the centre of which is the appearance of the ruins or site of a house about 25 feet in length and 16 in breadth very probable this had been the stable pertaining to Castle Fergus hence the name "Stable Isle". |
