050 | The Ruins of an old Church Surrounded by a Stone wall in good repair which encloses a Grave yard Still used by the Old Inhabitants in the Locality. The Church Seems to have been Pretty large the remains of the Walls are about 66 feet in length by 36 in breadth on the West end and 27 on the East. The walls are level with the Ground, with the exception of a portion of the North Wing which is Still Standing Kirkchrist was a Parish Originally of itself, but about the middle of the 17 Century was annexed to Twynholm Parish and had remained So hitherto. |
