050 | [Situation] On the Eastern side of the town of Kirkcudbt [Kirkcudbright]. A Street branching off High St. and running in a Northerly direction for about 200 yards. It is an unedificed thoroughfare untill it intersects St. Cuthbert's St. which it does obliquely extending about 150 yards farther the houses on each on each side are two Stories high slated and in good repair, it contains one Inn a few grocers and tradesmens Shops, the remainder is Occupied as dwelling houses. It is well drained and Macadamized & has a paved Causeway on each Side. - |
