251.15 | A considerable sized hill on the summit of which are the remains of a Fort or of some ancient building surrounded on all sides, but the west by an outer wall, on the west by a precipitous rock. The Fort in its original state would appear to have been a built wall without mortar as a small portion of a wall distinctly traceable is yet to be seen about 2 or 3 feet in height. There is no tradition concerning it farther than what is ascribed to all others in the locality, that being the remains of a castle. |
