Various | The Parish of Torosay is in the presbytery of Mull and Synod of Argyll. It contains the post office stations of Auchnacraig and Salen. It is bounded on the east and south by the Firth of Lorn; on the west by the parish of Kilfinichen and Kilvickeon; on the norwest of the parish of Kilninian and Kilmore and on the north by the Sound of Mull. It extends from north to sosuth 12 miles by the shortest road, and extends along the coast irrespective of sinuositites about 22 miles. It extends from east to west so variously as to measure in one place 18 1/2 miles in another 3 1/2. The general surface of the parish is mountainous. over |
