Transcriber's notes

I saw "Ainmean-Àite na h-Alba"s name on this page but the entry made seems a solitary one, just the alternate name "Leckuary", so I have continued the page.

"Lecknary" is clearly written in the Place Entry column of the Name Book, the Index and Sheet 150. The Canmore site has "Leckuary" only, both versions of spelling seem to appear in old texts [via Google].

Ordnance Survey - Argyll county

Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Argyll, which is in the west of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
