129 | The remains of what appears to have been a building of great strength. It is built on the summit of a rock close to the shore, and commands an extensive view to the north, west and east. The walls which are about 4 feet thick can be traced all round except for a few feet on the south east side which appears to have been the entrance. They stand in some places about 3 feet high. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Argyll, which is in the west of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
