[West] of Ballinaby, and stands 18ft. above the surface, is 4ft. broad and 1ft. thick, and is placed so as to point N.E. [North East] by E. [East] & S.W. [South West] by W. [West] which is supposed by some authorities to have been the ancient means of determining the summer and winter Solstices. |
