| CHAPEL (Site of) [Kames Powder Works] | Burying Ground & Chapel (Remains of) Burying Ground & Chapel (Remains of) Burying Ground & Chapel (Remains of) |
James Lamont, Colachla. Archibald Crawford, Kilbride. Archibald McMilllan. Kames |
193 | This object is situated on the side of the Parish road, about one mile south of the Kames Powder Works. It would seem to have been larger than at present, the parish road seemingly passing through, and therefore, destroying the greater part of it. What would appear to be the remains of the foundation of the Chapel are still discernable. It is likely that this is the chapel mentioned in "Origines Parochiales." |

Ordnance Survey - Argyll county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Argyll, which is in the west of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
