211 | On Cnoc Breac there is a fort the wall of which can be traced completely round the Hill, being particularly distinct on the western side. It seems to have been a place of great strength, the walls being (where very plain) between 10 & 12 feet thick. There is no tradition or any information relating to it to be found amongst the inhabitants, except that it was a fort. |

Ordnance Survey - Argyll county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Argyll, which is in the west of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
