Parish of Bervie

Supposed site of Monastery [Note] "The adjoining parish of Bervie is supposed to have been formed at one time a portion of Kinneff. It is certain that, so far as yet known, Bervie is not mentioned as an ecclesiastical Site, if we accept the notice of it as a Seat of the Carmelite Friars until the comparatively late period of 1567, Some years ago a number of graves were discovered near a place called the Friars Dubbs the Supposed site of the Carmelite Monastery".

Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
