| Hill of Garvock (continued) | [continued from page 33] with any person who knows anything about any other Mineral Spring in this neighbourhood. If there had been one at the time the Statistical account was written it is apparently Drained as large areas of the Hill side are drained and brought under Cultivation every season. B. Render Corpl. R.E. [Corporal Royal Engineers] 14/7/63 "On the north end of the Hill of Garvock, there is another Druidical Circle on the farm of Sootywells, about the half of which was removed some years ago, but nothing remarkable found." (New Stat Act [Statistical Account] Page 38) Every possible search and enquiry has been made for the Druidical Circle above named, but it can not be found nor Could I meet with any person who Could give any information about it. The ground is mostly under Cultivation at the place named and it is very probable that the Circle was destroyed during the progress of Cultivation. B. Render Corpl. R.E. Ordnance Survey - Kincardine county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Kincardine, which is in the north east of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
