It is covered with excellent pasture and is the property of the Earl of Dunmore, & belongs to the parish of Harris. It measures one & a half miles long by one half mile wide. There is a small mansion house situate near the north-east shore, it is two storeys high & slated & in good repair, & is occupied occasionally by the Earls of Dunmore & his family. |
