050 | This name Signifies "The Big Chapel", and applies to the ruins of an old church, or chapel, the history of which little or nothing is known about in the district. The east end, or gable of this one is still standing to a height of 25, ft, and it would seem to have been a place of some importance in it's day. It is not known if all three [three?] were in existence at same time or period, but judging from appearances, the one in question would seem be have been the last in which Divine worship was held. |

Transcriber's notes
In the placename column, Teampull is spelt wrongly in the transcription, with an n instead of m.
There are two additional words in that column underneath Ruin:
[Fennian Trad.] which look as if they have been added by A.A. Carmichael.

Ordnance Survey - Inverness county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Inverness, which is in the north of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
