087 | St Columba's The site of a Priory situated in an ancient Grave Yard it is believed to have been built in the 14th Century and dedicated to St Columba, little further is Known about it. There are now no remains of it, but Mr Cumming distinctly remember[s] of the walls Seven feet thick being visible when the walls of the Grave yard were being repaired. The Priory & Monaste[ry] Mentioned in the Statistical Account are believed to be identical. There are still to be seen in the parish the faint traces of a building said to have been a Priory; but little is Known respecting it. was also a Monastery, which no satisfactory account can be given.
