County of Inverness Parish of Daviot & Dunlichity

The two ancient parishes of Daviot and Dunlichity were united in the year 1618; they still retain their own church, Glebe, and School the Minister of Daviot officiating alternately in them every Sunday. In speaking of these churches the inhabitants invariably prefix the name of the ancient parish to the Church and School. [Comment Between Daviot Church and Cnoc an t-Sagairt entries]
