It is subdivided into several smaller districts Known by the names Sluather, Duntulm, Aird, Shulista, Connista, Solitote, Kendram, and Balmacquien, about one third of the district is cultivated and has a number of Croft houses on it, which are all with the exception of the farm of Duntulm, and the School in Shulista, one storey in height, thatched and in very bad repair.
