073 | This stone coffin was discovered about 12 years ago under a large pile of stones which stood on the top of a small knoll situated at Galmisdale Point, about 8 chains W.N.W. [West North West] from the pier and about 12 chains N. [North] from Sgeir na Cleite. The size, & manner of construction is much the same as that found near Nead-na-feannaige when opened it was found to be empty Except the top, it is still intact & is only covered with sods a few inches in thickness. |
