United, they form a parallelogram, 6 miles long from East to West, and 3 1/2 miles broad from North to South, they are bounded by the parish of Humbie on the East, Humbie and Crichton on the north, Stow on the west, and Channelkirk on the South, Fala & Soutra is in the Presbytery of Dalkeith and Synod of Lothian & Tweeddale. Patrons the Town Council of Edinburgh and the Earl of Stairs. |
