[South] East portion of the Co [County] Haddington A parish in the Eastern division of Haddingtonshire, about 10 Miles in length and from 2 to 3 in breadth, It is bounded on the N.E [North East] by the German Ocean. on the East the parish of Oldhamstocks. on the South by Berwickshire. on the S. [South] West by a detached portion of Spott, and on the West by detached portions of Dunbar and Stenton and by the main body of Spott. About two thirds of the surface stretch a cross the Lammermoor hills, the highest ground is about mid Distance between the Sea and the Southern boundary.
