012 | [Situation] Near the West end of Oldhamstocks Village. The site of a castle which belonged to the Hepburn family, situated at the west of Oldhamstocks Village. In the memory of the eldest inhabitants now living, there existed a portion of the vaulted rooms of the ground flat, the walls of which were about 3 feet thick; but which are now all removed and the ground ploughed over. It does not appear to have been a place of great strength or extent. |

Ordnance Survey - East Lothian county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of East Lothian, which is in the east of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
