Castle of Dennyferne, & traces of several dwellings have
from time to time been uprooted in its vicinity, while
Evidences of Ancient tillage are quite distinct in
numerous ridge marks. It is said to have been a Residence
of the Lindsays & the surrounding Cottages to have been
