Meason Esqr. of Lindertis who named it Maryton in honour of one of his daughters. The names Maryton and Ellinorton were given by Mr. Mason the late Proprietor of Lindertis - but neither became in use - Padanaram is no more known as Ellinorton, than Balmuckety feus is as Maryton.
