The Parish of Kirkden bounded on the North by those of Rescobie and Guthrie, on the East by Kinnel and Inverkeilor, on the South by Inverkeilor & Dunnichen (DETD. [DETACHED]) and on the West by Dunnichen. has a small detached portion which is bounded on the North and East by Kinnel and on the South and West by Guthrie Parishes. The main body measures in extreme length from West to East 5¾ miles and in extreme breadth from North to South 2¼ miles but it is nearly bisected by interjecting parts of Rescobie and Dunnichen (Dd.
