Mr Lyall Factor Estate Map Carts & Co. [County] Map Valuation Roll |
040 | A good Farm Steading the property of the Earl of South Esk. Properly this is a Paddock Pool as it appears in the 'Roll, and acknowledged by Mr Lyall, but it is not desired to adopt "Paddock", which is seldom used except in particular writings. There is on this Estate the farm called "Hill" particularized as the "Hill of Beauchamp", which latter is adopted upon the authority of Mr Lyall who wishes it to be so adopted. It might however be understood on the Plans as it is in the shortened form of "Hill" in speaking of it in the locality (See Hill of Beauchamp Trace 4. 34-15) |

Ordnance Survey - Angus county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Angus, which is in the east of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
