They extend across the County nearly due east till they meet the German Ocean at Redhead, and falling from their height, as they stretch in a westerly direction along the northern edge of the Carse of Gowrie, till they rise again suddenly in the hill of Kinnoull, which marks the western extremity of the range. Portions of it are covered with Fir Plantations and heathy pastures while parts of it are cultivated. |
