043 | These Remains are situated upon the top of an isolated basaltic hill called Denoon Law in Denoon glen. "It presents a precipitous face of rocks to the S. [South] & S.W. [South West] on the other side though steep it is covered with a most vivid green sward, forming a contrast with the heath clad Sidlaws about it. Its top is surrounded with a high wall of earth & stones, supposed to have been about 27 feet high & 20 broad; it contains within it upwards of an acre & has evidently been a place of great strength. There are openings upon the E. [East] N.W. [North West] & S.W. [South West] sides. |

Ordnance Survey - Angus county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Angus, which is in the east of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
