054 | [Situation] On the southern side of Hight Street and southern side of Town House The site of St. Clements Ch. [Church] which appears to have been once the parish church is well known. All the authorities quoted for the name agree in stating that the Town House is built on the site and that it being a parish it had a considerable grave yard attached Some remains of this grave yard have been discovered from time to time during the progress of improvements and it is believed by the authorities quoted to have extended to the southward of the church down as far as the south end of the lane called the vault and as far westward as the houses on the east side of Crichton Street, and on the east as far as St. Clements Lane and the houses adjoining it. |

Ordnance Survey - Angus county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Angus, which is in the east of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
