The machinery is propelled by a steam engine of 30 horse power & there are about 200 persons employed in the works. Dyeworks are also attached where the jute yarn is dyed & then forwarded to Heathfield Factory Hawkhill where it is woven into Carpeting Proprietors Messrs. Neish & Co. [Company] At the south side of the cooling Ponds of this mill is a private Burial Ground The property of the family of Edwards farmer of Coldside. First used as a Burial ground in 1810 |
