A lake lying immediately South of the village of Kilconquhar, the West, South and part of the East sides are surrounded by plantations. It abounds with pike & eels and in some parts very deep. little or no water runs into it. It is supplied almost entirely by springs within itself. And has long been a favourite haunt of Swans the number on it at present amounts to about 40. |
