014; 015 | [situation] In the Northern Extremity of the County "A parish in Perthshire and a small portion in Kinross near the S.E. [South East] boundary of the County. Its form is nearly that of a slender parallelogram, stretching north and south, but sending off a considS.W. [South West] angle. It is bounded on the North by the Earn; on the East by Dumbarny, Dron and Arngask, on the South by a detached portion of Forteviot, and by Kinross-shire; and on the west by Dunning and the main body of Forteviot. The northern division is part of the rich valley called "Strathearn". The Southern division runs up among the Ochills, and is hilly ande upoland" &c. &c, Full. [Fullartons] Gazeteer of Scotland.
