David Tennent is the present schoolmaster, his salary is the maximum allowed by government and what he gets by school fees. The poet "Tennant" was schoolmaster of this parish for a long time, who gave it up to his brother the present schoolmaster, and became Professor of Oriental Languages in the College of St. Andrews. |
