A parish inFifeshire bounded on the north by the parishes of Abdie and Monimail, on th east by Monimail and Cults, on the south by Kettle and Falkland and on the west by the parishes of Auchtermuchty and a detached portion of Abernethy, its extreme length from northwest to southeast is about 8 miles, the average breadth about 4 miles. It is generally well cultivated and diversified with enclosed fields and plantations. This parish is in the presbytery of Cupar and Synod of Fife, Patron Johnstone of Lathrisk. [Note] There are no detached portions of this parish within any other parish nor are there any portions of other parishes within this parish. |
