A small parish in Fifeshire, bounded on the east by the parish of Collessie, on the south by Falkland, on the west by Strathmiglo, and on the north by the parishes of Abernethy and Abdie. It extends in length from northwest to southwest about 4 miles, and in breadth from east to west about 2 miles. the superficial area is about 2900 acres, about 2600 of which are under cultivation. This parish has the royal burgh of Auchtermuchty of which see Descriptive Remarks. There are no detached parts of this parish within any other parish nor are there any detached of other parishes within this parish. |
