019 | Parish of Carnbee. A small village situate close to the parish church. It consists of two detached rows of dwelling houses from one to two storys high in good repair and all occupied by Tradesmen and agricultural labourers. Detached a short distance to the West from the above is a large farm house and office houses all in good repair, and forming a part of the village known by the given name, attached to the latter is a large farm of ground the property of Sir R.A. Anstruther of Balcaskie. The name is derived from the name of the Parish on account of their close proximity to the parish church. |
