In a field on the farm of Invertiel on the south side of the road leading from Kirkcaldy, a quantity of Danish Coins & Remains have been found at intervals during the last 40 years. Some were found in 1840. Mr Kininmonth the farmer has some of them in his possession, which were found by the two latter authorities quoted. |

In an enclosure on the south side of the farm house of Invertiel stands a small tumulus, or Mound (generally called mound) with a very old thorn tree growing on it. The mound is supposed to be very ancient but there are no traditions existing respecting it. |
