This name applies to a range of hills extending from the Firth of Forth through the parish of Aberdour, their acclivity on the south is very precipitous, and the elevation of the highest above the level of the sea is about 750 feet. In regard to each other the difference of elevation is very little. The Hills are chiefly covered with wood. See N. B. [Name Book] of 36A page 26. |
