The Edinburgh Perth & Dundee Railway, in connexion with the Ferry at Granton Pier, commences at Burntisland, and passes by Kinghorn, Kirkcaldy, Dysart, Markinch, Kettle and Newburgh to Perth. from this trunk line another branch line diverges from near Kettle to Cupar, Leuchars and extends to Ferry-port-on [Craig]. Another branch line diverges from Leuchars, through Guard - bridge and terminates at St. Andrews. The Electric Telegraph extends along the whole line from Burntisland to Perth, and Ferry Port on Craig. The business of the Company is Superintended by a Board of Directors appointed by the Shareholders. |
