[Note] Crosses margin of sheet - o.m.o [Ordnance Map Office] A handsome rectangular building on the North Bank of the Eden opposite the East end of St Catherine Street. erected as a Prison at the joint expense of the County and Burgh but not suiting the purpose for which it was intended another was erected at the NW [North West] end of the Town and this one sold to the Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee Railway whose property it now is. It is at present occupied by some of the Servants belonging to the Railway Company |
