[situation] Extends Eastward from North End of Crossgate. This street extends from the junction of Crossgate and Bonnygate in an easterly direction. The houses on each side are of good construction and being in general three stories high are occupied by respectable families. The Commercial and Clydesdale Banks and the Episcopal Chapel stand on the North side of this street and the County buildings and Tontine Hotel are on the south side. The street for the most part is Macadamised in consequence of most part of it being outside the Burgh Boundary. It is also well lighted with gas. |
