With regard to the "Teinland"
the result of any enquiry regarding
them is that in the beginning
of last Century the land in
question was a moor, whereon
the cattle were collected for
drawing the teinds of the Phs [Parishes]
of St Andrews Lhanbryd & Elgin
previous to their being Converted
into money. about the middle
of Said Century the boundaries
of these parishes were defined
when, a Small portion of
"Teinland" was given to the
Ph [Parish] of Elgin the Remainder given
to the Ph [Parish] of St Andrews Lhanbryd
in which Ph [Parish] it has Since been
assessed. There is no detached ............................. -- There are no detached parts of this Parish -J.D.
