022.14 | There was found about 60 years ago. A small Danish Copper Battle Axe and portion of a Sword by a laboring Man when casting Peats in the Milltown Moss. They were in the poSSession of W. Grant Esqr of Carron, until lately when the former was Stolen from his premises. The Sword has been broken or ground down with 18 inches of the hilt as the person who had it previous to Mr Grant used it for Chopping up Turnips. Mr Grant asserts that it is of Modern date he having Some of the Same pattern in his possession Now. |
