[South] end of Pitt Street, in a Southerly direction crossing Northumberland Street to its junction with the East end of Heriot Row, It is well paved, lighted up with gas, and having a flagged causeway of about 12 feet in width on each side, The houses are 4 & 5 stories high well built and in good repair and are partly occupied as Shops of various descriptions, and the remainder by respectable families |
