The internal management is Conducted by a Re [Rector & ?] Seven masters, (Who appointed the masters - Government - a Church) and a matron [&] Janitor. It has a library and [--] attached for the use of the pup [pupils] The rate of fees varies from £1 - 2 per quarter. The school was established by a number of gentlemen who founded a Joi [Joint] Stock Company for the purpose of founding a school on the same principles as the Normal School & to serve as an academy for the children of the more opulent class. Each share consisted of £10. It is not connected with any church or religious Community. It is managed by a board of Directors chosen from among the shareholders. The school fees are paid to a treasurer & [--] or deposited in a bank from which the Professors are paid From the surplus funds th [there] accumulated a dividend or profits has been divided two or three times among the Shareholders which shows that it is more than self supporting.
