[Situation] On the S.E. [South East] Side of Riddles Close & between St Andrew Street & Tolbooth Wynd. A tolerable building situated betwixt Tolbooth Wynd snd St Andrew Street and on the East Side of Riddles Close. It is well fitted up with Stalls etc. on the south Side of it are 2 apartments used as the Fish and Fowl Markets. The Soup Kitchen was at one time kept here but long since given up. This building was built in 1819 by the town Council. |
