012 | In Glencross Resevoir. The ruins of an old chapel with its burying ground which is now covered with water. The remains of this Chapel was submerged in 1824 when the Edinburgh Water Company completed their large reservoir. This Cahpel was anciently called St. Catherine of the Hopes to distinguish it from another chapel dedicated to St. Catherine in the parish of Liberton which was called St. Catherine of the Kaims. |
