Graves Knowes continued
and remains of the Body placed in the coffin; but, in the greater number of the Graves no animal remains were found. Mr Buchannan Says that the remains were evidently of parties exceeding the common Stature of men of the present day. Other Graves were discovered about 1/2 [a mile ?] East of these on the Farm of Adambrae but the precise spot cannot be ascertained. Graves Knowes is Situate on the South Bank of Almond Water on the farm of Alderstone Mains and two miles west of the village of Mid Calder
