Continued entries/extra info

Parish of Liberton
"A protestant Presbyterian Chapel was erected at Craigmillar during the indulgence granted by James Vll, which at the termination of the persecution and the restoration of Presbyterian worship became unnecessary and is now used as a stable or outhouse." Stat.[Statistical] Acct.[Account] of Edin.[Edinburgh] Page 8
Note. This chapel was built (apparently) between 1684 and 1688 but as it is not connected with any historical event it need not be written as an antiquity.

Ordnance Survey - Midlothian county

Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Midlothian, which is in the east of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
