It was formerly used as a passenger station for the Edinbr [Edinburgh] & Dalkeith Railway. Then goods and passengers were conveyed from Edinburgh to Dalkeith in carriages drawn by horses; but having been purchased by the North British Railway Co. the passenger traffic has been discontinued, and it is now used as a Coal Depot. |
