[Situation] A little West of Greyfriar's Church This institution was founded and endowed in 1628 by George Heriot Goldsmith to James VI. The building is of that Mixed style of Architecture which prevailed in this Country previous to the introduction of the Grecian style by Sir Christopher Wren.
